For The Wild Things

If I could wind all this into a ball,

I would.

And bring the fierceness

of the night to you.

Shake it thoroughly to lay

its rough beauty before you.

It is a sweet thing.

Wrought of anotherness, a language its own.

In perfect rhythm with the Creator,

unassuming and pure.

Landscape painting in Yosemite Park of pine trees a field beyond with late afternoon sky with warm tones.

My Story

Curiosity has always been a driving force in my life. A childhood spent turning over rocks looking for salamanders and drawing, constantly drawing. After college I learned the craft of an architect, finding the best for a site with a watchful eye on the natural surroundings. Looking and testing for ways to scratch the creative itch.

Along the way I took a watercolor class and added color sketches to my journeys. Later, oil landscapes seemed the natural extension of that curiosity.

All of my work is based on storytelling, how I felt as I experienced a place.

I hope that you can feel these places as I do.
